Derhen C.
Private tutor in Rotterdam, Netherlands
Education
French Economics Baccalaureate with over 90% achievement. Went on to study a bachelor in Economics, Politics & International Studies at Warwick University from which I just graduated. Will start a Master in Management at Erasmus University Rotterdam from September 2016 onwards. Please note that although my address indicates London, I will move to Rotterdam very (very) soon. Since I do not have an address in Rotterdam yet, I have posted my English one (but I won't be in London anymore from next week onwards).
Experience
I have tutored for some years now, most notably in French & History. Having two younger sisters has also allowed me to practice my tutoring skills regularly over the years as well. I have always been keen to share knowledge. It is a very satisfying feeling to see someone who is struggling suddenly understanding a topic or a formula. I enjoy both the challenge of clear and patient communication as well as the pleasure of trying to grasp how I can best tackle a problem the tutee might face. I am half French half Dutch (although French is more of a native language to me than Dutch as I lived in France for many years). I also speak fluent English, a C1 level German and a A2 level Spanish. I have also taken the GMAT exam for which I got 730 out of 800.

Hobbies
I am an enthusiastic volleyball player (although I prefer to watch football on tv). I have been playing volleyball for over seven years now. I am a keen reader. Although I love literature (most notably Russian), I read many essays over the course of my bachelor. I have also started writing a book of my own (though it is still in the early stages). As I highlighted before, I am also passionate about languages. I speak (to a certain extent) already five of them, though I hope to improve this total in the upcoming years :) I also actively follow politics and global affairs.
